My friend Kimeri mentioned that she wanted a new look for her blog, Kimeri's Kastle, and I jumped st the chance to create one for her. Some of her favorite colors are lime green, purple and magenta, so I used variations of those colors along with some altered castle and crown artwork to create a whimsical template for her. She also opted for a sort of scrapbook type feel with layered papers which I was able to do with different texture overlays.

I think it fits her perfectly!

Allison from Little Miss Muffins Cakes had a couple of different ideas in mind for her new blog design. In the end, she decided on a design that had a scrapbook/layered paper feel. She liked the combination of pink and brown and found the cutest cupcake felt art, made by Donna Griffin of Cute Designs, for the header.

Stop by Allison's blog and check out her wonderful cake designs!

Stacy from Saving in Akron wanted a new, clean design for her blog. She wanted a layered sidebar area with multiple column options as well as a multi-column footer. She liked the purple and green color combo and wanted artwork that said "saving", so she opted for the white piggy bank.

I like the nice, clean, simplistic look to it!

Free Blog Buttons

Monday, August 10, 2009

I was asked to provide instructions on how to create a "Link to Me" blog button and was happy to oblige!

Here are 2 images that are free for you to use. The first is a standard 125x125 button and the second is a 125x175 giveaway type button.

~~~~~
First, you will need to right-click on the image, and "save as" to your computer.
Next, you will need to use a program such as Picasa, Paint, or Paint.net to add the text to the image.
Then you will need to upload the image to a photo hosting site such as Photobucket or Flickr.
Follow this link for the "Link to Me" HTML codes.
Once you have entered your information into the code, it is ready to be placed on your site or blog.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!
Laura from Not Just 9 to 5 wanted a header design to go along with her new Word Press blog. (Although I do not design templates for Word Press, I can design Headers, Banners & Buttons.)
She wanted a design that would convey both a mom at work and a mom at home and I think this one does just that!
Stop on over and while you're there, enter her Housewarming Giveaway!
Blogger Mommies
Anna from Blogger Mommies wanted a design for her new blog that incorporated pink & brown, with an overall look that would fit in well with her business, The Baby Store Plus.
The Blogger Mommies are a focus group that want to share news and reviews of baby, toddler, moms-to-be and nursing mother products with mothers everywhere.
The caricatures in the header and along the sidebar were created by Jerry Emerson from Art of Caricature, and I think he did a fantastic job!
